Did you know that you can actually EAT (not starve) your way to better health?
Improved overall health through food is about actually feeding your system the nutrition it needs to keep the body functioning at its very best. It is not about denying it the energy it needs to operate properly. Food can and does help you to heal!
- Do you want to lose weight and feel more vibrant every day?
- Do you want to improve or even possibly cure your DIABETES, HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE and/or HEART DISEASE?
- Do you have LEAKY GUT?
- Do you want to regain your health and strength after a struggle with CANCER OR CANCER TREATMENT left you feeling depleted and run down?
- Do you want to avoid HRT as you enter MENOPAUSE?
- Do you want to get off the vicious cycle of prescription medication?
- Are you confused by all the conflicting food and health information that is currently available?
- Are you wondering what you should be feeding your family?
- Would you like to learn to eat your way to better health?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you have landed on a terrific resource for helping you to get on the path to optimal health.
You’d have to be living under an enormous rock to not be aware of the health crisis that currently exists in our country. Every one of us knows someone who has gotten the wake-up call. We have become living proof that “you are what you eat.” Garbage in, garbage out. Chemically engineered and devoid of nutritional value, the standard American diet (SAD) resembles nothing close to food, but are something closer to food-like substances. If you knew, really knew what you were eating, you’d understand why so many of people are sick.
Many of us know or have some ideas about what we should be doing. Making it work on a day to day basis — not so much. Implementation — That’s my forte and where I can help you move towards a healthier lifestyle by teaching you to manage your food purchasing, preparation and consumption. And guess what? It is a lot easier than you might think.
If you are tired of being told what to do and wish someone would just show you how to make it all work, then you’ve come to the right place.
My overall goal is simple…
- I want to help you to eliminate what is not working for you in your food world.
- I want to educate you on what you can replace those unhealthy foods with, and teach you how to use them effectively and efficiently.
- I want to empower you though organization and education, to achieve your nutritional goals and ultimately better overall health.
And… I want it all to taste great in the process.
I don’t believe that good eating habits have to be all or nothing unless, of course, you are in full blown health crisis. Everything that we do that positively influences our health is a good thing. All the small efforts add up to bigger ones. In every aspect of our lives I believe that organization is the key to success.
There is a new paradigm with food. You don’t have to sacrifice flavor in order to eat healthfully; you can have both. And who deserves it more than you? Let me show you how to organize your kitchen, your shopping and your attitude to achieve your food goals.
You CAN do it.
WTG Jodi!!! Taking some healthy lifestyle choices to the people of the Crescent City! That city is getting healthier every day in spirit and community, why not in the food culture too. Bring that healthful glow to the people….

Jodi, wishing you were back here so you could help me eat healthier.
Oh, you lucky NOLA people!
Larry
Congrats Jodi! Knock em dead….
Not with the food I mean.
You sure you don’t want to try this, Marc?
Guuuuurrrrl, we’re on the same page! Bet you know all about CLEAN, right? Joseph and I are huge advocates these days. Maybe we can trade recipes and spread the word. We have a whole lotta friends who could use some help. They’re baby-step types though, still very attached to their deep fried po-boys and Abita…
Thanks, Amanda. It doesn’t have to be all or nothing. I’m all about the baby steps because they eventually accumulate into giant leaps. Soul food is for the soul, no? Let’s talk about doing a fun food thing together soon.
i know you will be able to help lots of peeps!
plus you got the energy and personality to make a difference… miss ya!
Awesome site!

Glad to have a contact site for you. I am fine but a lot older!
Love, Judy Fay Gray
Hey Judy! How GREAT to hear from you. I’ll reply via your email in a few days. Old? Girl, you don’t know the half of it. You’ll need CPR when I tell you how old I am now.
Love to all!
Hi Jodi,
What a wonderful day! I learned so much from you today about shopping and food prep. Bob really enjoyed our dinner tonight and so did I. Can’t wait til tomorrow to start cooking all this wonderful food! Most important, I had fun! See you in the am… going to get a good night’s sleep.
Peace out. T
Thanks, darlin’. I enjoyed myself too. Wait til you see what I have in store for you today! Hold onto your hat!
Wow, I’m in heaven! We had fish tacos with the cole slaw on top and tabouli as a side! Bob really liked it and so did I. Took some time after dinner to do a little bit of organizing in the kitchen. One of my friends came over and I proudly showed her all of the wonderful things we made today. She was very impressed! Jodi, I had a great time the last two days and feel like I was given the keys to the kingdom! I’m excited and feel really good about food again. Thanks so much for everything! Therese
Wow back atcha. Thanks for the kind words. You were an excellent and eager student and I look forward to hearing about some of YOUR new recipe ideas. Congrats on taking charge!
Jodi,
All of your suggestions and tips have been incredibly helpful! The simplicity of your plan/s not only make sense as you are imparting them, they actually succeed in execution. The most daunting concept was the thought of preparing a weeks worth of meals in a day. WHAT AN ORDER! Or so I reckoned. The ease of creating a few dishes that I could parcel out into smaller serving/saver containers has proven one of the best kitchen plans EVER! As I have gained momentum and established a sense of rhythm in the planning stage, the actual prep time and cooking time has become a feature that I anticipate each week. I equate it to an aspect of artistic manifestation in the form of food. Food that sustains me, rebuilds me, and each day renews me. Continue your path and the world is indeed becoming a better place minute by minute. Kudos, my friend!
WOW! I’m speechless. Thanks for the kind words. Please keep us posted on your future successes. We learn from each other!
Wanted to drop a remark and let you know your Rss feed is not functioning today. I tried adding it to my Google reader account but got absolutely nothing.
Thanks so much for the note about my Feed. I’ll do my best to remedy the
situation as quickly as possible. The kitchen is my arena, not technology,
so I’ll have to get someone on it asap. RSS Feed??? LOL.
Again, thanks for taking the time to write. I’m glad you deem me worthy of
being added to your google reader account.
Jodi
